Ammonium Nitrate
Ammonium Nitrate is a white crystalline, dry prill with the chemical formula NH4NO3. It is made by reacting nitric acid with anhydrous ammonia under very carefully controlled conditions.
ANFO
ANFO explosives are supplied either in cartridge or bulk form and are suitable for use in dry borehole conditions. EPC-UK’s range of ANFO explosives includes Ammospex and Ammoblast.
Black Powder
Black Powder is a low explosive powder made from a combination of Sulphur (10%), charcoal (15%) and potassium nitrate (75%).
Dunarit Boosters
Dunarit cast boosters are products suitable for the priming of a variety of explosives. EPC-UK can supply a wide range of cast priming solutions to suit your requirements – please contact us for more information.
Bulk Emulsions
Bulk emulsions are an emulsified Ammonium Nitrate solution incorporating a fuel phase. Classified as an oxidizing agent for transportation purposes the composition does not become explosive until mixed with gassing agents and sensitized at the point of delivery to the borehole.
Detonating Cord
Detonating Cord is a linear explosive consisting of a PETN powder wrapped in a flexible plastic outer coating. Manufactured in the EU, EPC-UK is able to supply a comprehensive range of cord weights for a variety of applications.
Non – Electric Detonators
Minexplo supplies non-electric detonator systems for initiation of surface blasts & long delay tunnel detonators for underground and demolition blasting.
Electronic Detonators – Digishot®
Electronic detonators are modern, fully programmable and intelligent high strength detonators.
Electric Detonators
EPC-UK supply standard electric detonators manufactured by Davey Bickford in France.
Emulsion Primers
EPC-UK supply Explus TSR primers in 50mm and 35mm diameter cartridges. This explosive is suitable for use as a primer for initiating Ammonium Nitrate based explosives in shallow large diameter holes as experienced in opencast coal sites.
Authorised Nitroglycerine Explosives
EPC-UK supply a nitroglycerine based explosive in a range of diameters suitable for use in the civil engineering, demolition, tunnelling and quarrying industries. The product currently supplied is Perunit E.
Packaged Explosives
EXEM emulsion cartridges manufactured by EPC Groupe in Europe are water in oil emulsions, that is, oxidiser salts dispersed as microscopically fine droplets, surrounded by a continuous fuel phase.
