EPC-UK 2023 Charity Golf Day
Thursday 14th September 2023
We’re delighted to announce that plans are in place to host our eighth, annual Charity Golf Day at the prestigious MacDonald Portal Hotel & Spa in Cheshire. The course has been booked for Thursday 14th September 2023, when we’ll be welcoming staff, clients, colleagues and partners to a day of good-spirited golf, geared at raising vital funds for our defibrillator cause.
Following the success of our 2022 Charity Golf Day, we raised a record breaking £5500.00. This was enough to secure the purchase of four! defibrillators and pay for appropriate staff training in schools and community organisations. We’re hoping to make even more money at our next event, continuing our commitment to making accessible defibrillator equipment across the country a lifesaving reality.

Playing for charity
Our 2023 tournament will be played in teams of four. Individuals or smaller group numbers can also enter to make up a team with other participants.
The day will start with coffee and delicious bacon rolls, followed by an 18-hole ‘Texas scramble’ competition, when both team and individual prizes can be won. We’ll also be holding our annual “nearest-the-pin” and “longest drive” competitions, and following the day’s play, friends and colleagues will have the chance to relax during our three-course dinner, networking and presentation evening.
The 18-hole course is amongst the finest in the North West of England. We’re looking forward to welcoming familiar faces back into play in 2023, as well as new competitors of every skill level.

The EPC-UK Charity Golf Day Fund
Our charitable and sporting efforts help to raise money for two important causes, both close to our hearts: Our longstanding commitment to providing schools and local communities with access to and training for life-saving defibrillator equipment passionately continues. In addition, we are a benefactor of the Institute of Quarrying Benevolent Fund, which helps current and former IQ members and their families through the challenging times of bereavement, supports disability enablement, and offers financial and supportive help and assistance wherever it can.

“In 2022 we couldn’t have achieved our charitable Golf Day success without the support and sporting prowess of our competing teams. The day was memorable for many reasons, bringing us together as a business community, united in its service and committed to making a difference.”
Ben Williams, Managing Director
