On-site Incident – injury/fatality uncertainty

At approximately 09.40 today reports of a localised fire were received from the  EPC United Kingdom Ltd Rough Close Works site in Alfreton. Our emergency procedures were enacted and a full site evacuation has been undertaken with the emergency services contacted and now taking charge of the situation.

All staff and contractors have been accounted during the evacuation for bar one EPC-UK employee. Our priority now is to work with the emergency services to manage the situation and establish the whereabouts of the missing individual. 

The specific cause of the incident is not yet known at this time, the Company will launch a full investigation together with the Emergency Services and the relevant agencies at the appropriate time to establish the facts of the situation.
