It won’t be long before our training schedule for 2024 begins. The latest EPC-UK course dates for the new year have now been confirmed and are available to book through our website or by contacting the Learning & Development team. Furthermore, bookings made before the end of November this year will be at the 2023 price.

EPC-UK’s Learning & Development division is an industry leading training partner, offering expert delivery of blasting and commercial explosives training courses including Shotfiring, Explosive Supervisor and the SPA Quarry Passport, in addition to Dangerous Goods (ADR) Vehicle Driver training. Our comprehensive learning schemes are regularly updated and compliance assured, equipping operators and supervisors with the essential, relevant skills needed to perform roles safely and competently.

Delegates can learn through our expertly delivered classroom-based courses which take place at the EPC-UK training centre in Derbyshire, and also via online sessions when applicable.

Course examinations for our Full Initial ADR courses are now conducted electronically, so delegates can receive their results immediately.

Shotfiring Courses

Covering awareness principles in addition to bench blasting processes, flyrock, hole loading, shotfiring operations, and avoidance and handling of misfires, this specialist course also includes a live firing practical demonstration, providing students with a clear and full understanding of the nature and use of explosives. This live demonstration element is unique to EPC-UK’s delivery programme and is performed by Explosives Engineers who are active in the industry.

SPA Quarry Passport Webinar Courses

The Full SPA Mineral Product Passport training course provides a nationally recognised standard of health and safety assurance for those working within the mineral extraction and products industries. It can be completed online via one of our award-winning webinars. Please contact the Learning and Development team for further information on the one-day refresher training course.

Full Initial ADR Core, Packages, Tanks and Class 1 Courses

Accredited by JAUPT and SQA, our full initial ADR course covers tank packages and classes 1-9, excluding class 7. We also include the full 35 hours of periodic training required by JAUPT.
