A history of blasting developments
For 125 years, the EPC Groupe has enjoyed a reputation for effective solutions, technological innovation and high-quality customer service. Founded in 1893, the company’s history began with the creation of Société Anonyme d’Explosifs et de Produits Chimiques by Eugène-Jean Barbier, the first Chairman of EPC. Advanced by the development of our truck mounted emulsion technology, by 1990 EPC-UK had become a market leader in its field. Since then, the company has continued its growth to become one of the world’s foremost suppliers of commercial explosives & blasting services, employing more than 2,000 employees globally in over 21 countries worldwide.
We are now a leading contractor to many blue-chip companies, providing innovative solutions for our customers. In the UK we also provide Defence, Transport and Additive services, employing over 250 employees across eight sites nationwide.
