To continue our commitment to providing industry-leading education and learning, even during these challenging times, we have collaborated with the Institute of Quarrying (IQ) to provide a free webinar which will contribute towards attendees CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
Accredited by the IQ, “Using a blasting seismograph” offers basic guidance for using a blasting seismograph to accurately record blast-induced ground vibration and air overpressure.
Led by Dr. Rob Farnfield, Head of Explosives Engineering here at EPC-UK, the 20-minute webinar will cover three key areas:
– What is a blasting seismograph?
– Why is seismograph set up so important?
– Best practice guidelines
With expert advice and working examples, the webinar will guide you through these three significant stages, arming you with all the information you need to successfully operate a seismograph.
This webinar is just one of a series of ‘virtual’ training programmes EPC-UK is now offering.
Lifelong Learning Live
Providing you with the freedom to learn at your own pace and in your own environment, we have adapted three of our most popular courses into “pay to attend offering” set of webinars:
– Explosives Awareness
– Shotfiring under the Quarries Regulations
– Shotfiring under the Mine Regulations
These initial courses will be delivered ‘virtually’ by knowledgeable members of our explosives engineers department. Catering for up to 20 participants, each webinar is completely interactive, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, participate in debates and initiate discussions.
All courses are broken down into several modules which will be taught over a six-week period. Each module is presented twice a week, providing you with two separate opportunities to experience the webinar ‘live’. All modules are also recorded, and you will receive access to these recordings for up to 30 days after they have been presented ‘live’ – giving you the freedom to fit your learning around work and family commitments.
