OREX slurries

The OREX range of slurry explosives from EXOR Explosives Limited offers a versatile selection of products for a wide variety of applications. These UK produced compositions provide the optimum combination of safety, efficiency, reliability and consistent performance.

OREX slurries are suitable for most applications, providing excellent levels of fragmentation in strong rock as well as heave and swelling in weaker, softer sedimentary rock formations.

The water resistant characteristics ensure that OREX slurries can be used in a variety of borehole conditions, where ground vibrations are a problem and where a precise charge weight is required in the borehole. Available in three strengths, OREX slurries are purpose-designed to be easy to handle and exhibit high intrinsic safety characteristics.

Orex Slurries are not detonator sensitive and as such EPC-UK recommend that these compositions are initiated by a minimum of a 450g cast booster.




OREX Special is the most powerful of the OREX range of slurry explosives. It has been developed for use where a high concentration of explosive energy is required.

OREX Special is recommended for use in combination with a 450g cast primer.
