Black powder

For specialist blasting, EPC-UK can provide a suitable grade of black powder that can produce effective blasted rock.

Black powder is a low order explosive. It is sensitive to accidental initiation by flame, spark or friction. When initiated it burns at a rapid rate. This rapid burning is called deflagration. The speed of reaction is much slower than high explosives.

Black powder can be used in dimension stone blasting where a minimum amount of shattering is required.
